Harlem Globetrotter who was instantly recognizable by his shaved head.

He was an outstanding shooter at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina, leading his team to the CIAA title.

His jersey number 22 was retired by the Globetrotters, the fifth player to receive the honor.

He had one daughter with his wife Rose Neal.

Like Curly, Wilt Chamberlain also had his number retired by the Harlem Globetrotters.
