ABOUT GAE-BYOK LEE
South Korean film director and screenwriter who first gained fame for his 1995 short film I am the Movie, which won the Silver Prize at the Golden Crown Film Festival. He has since directed a number of successful films, such as Luck Key, The Beast and the Beauty, and Cheer Up, Mr. Lee.
He studied film and theatre at Cheongju University.
His 2016 action comedy film Luck Key sold one million tickets within three days of its opening.
He is from South Korea.
He worked as an assistant director for the 2002 thriller Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, which was directed and co-written by Park Chan-wook .
