Bassist who was the recipient of the Parliamentary Award for Jazz Education and who was the bandleader for an array of jazz groups.

He was a founding member of Jazz Warriors, an all-black English jazz group.

He established Tomorrow's Warriors, a group that helps aspiring jazz musicians achieve success.

His uncle is Ernest Ranglin, a guitarist.

Crosby and Richard Wilson have been awarded an OBE.
