ABOUT GARY DELL'ABATE

Longtime Howard Stern radio producer known by the nickname of "Baba Booey." He penned a 2010 autobiography entitled They Call Me Baba Booey.

After graduating from Adelphi University, he interned at several New York City radio stations.

Following his brother's 1991 death from AIDS, he became president of a charity called LIFEbeat: The Music Industry Fights AIDS.

His 1992 marriage to Mary Caracciolo produced two sons.

His famous nickname came from Quick Draw McGraw's sidekick Baba Looey, whom he mistakenly called Baba Booey on a 1990 broadcast. The original cartoon series was co-created by Joseph Barbera of Hanna-Barbera.
