ABOUT GAVIN NEWSOM

American politician democrat who became the Lieutenant Governor of California in 2011 after serving as the 42nd Mayor of San Francisco from 2004 to 2011. In January 2019, he became the 40th Governor of California. His popular Care Not Cash program, helps move homeless people into city-assisted care.

He attended Santa Clara University where he earned a degree in political science.

He founded the PlumpJack Wine Shop, which grew into a multi-million dollar enterprise.

He was married to Kimberly Guilfoyle from 2001 until 2006; he later married Jennifer Siebel Newsom in 2008. He has four children: Montana, Hunter, Brooklyn and William.

He ran for Governor of California for the 2010 election and was endorsed by Bill Clinton .
