ABOUT GEORGE HENRY MACKENZIE

Scottish chess master who dominated the game in America once he immigrated to the New World.

He served in both the British and U.S. Armies but was later charged with desertion by the U.S. Army.

He won the fifth German Championship at Frankfurt-on-the-Main 1887.

He was born and raised in Scotland.

He was the American equivalent of Alexander Alekhine .
