ABOUT GERARDO TEISSONNIERE
Known for his premiere performances of works by 20th-century composers like Aaron Copland and Lowell Liebermann .
He made his American debut at Washington, D.C.'s National Gallery of Art.
He performed a five-recital cycle of Mozart's complete piano sonatas in 2004.
His family recognized his talents, and he enrolled at the Conservatory of Music in Puerto Rico and later at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
His instructors at the Cleveland Institute of Music had been trained by Artur Schnabel and Alfred Cortot .
