ABOUT GIGI MITRE

Peruvian television personality best known for presenting entertainment programs primarily affiliated with the Willax Television network. She has served as the host of numerous shows throughout her career, including Hola a todos, Amor amor amor, Escápate con Gigi, and Amor y fuego.

She attended a Catholic school for nuns throughout her youth before going on to study communication science at the University of Lima. As a child, she competed on the television contest R con erre.

She has also enjoyed a lengthy career in radio that began when she became a producer for Radio América when she was only 25 years old. She also co-hosted the program Sin Nombre with fellow presenter Sergio Galliani and performed as a radio sportscaster for a station in Boca Raton, FL, for a period of over 7 years.

She was born Giselle Helwe Mitri Giha. Her sister, Karen Mitre, is a prominent designer of high-fashion handbags. She is also related to notable ballad singer of the 1990s, Fahed Mitre - her first cousin.

She achieved fame for her participation on television programs alongside Rodrigo González , such as Amor amor amor, which she initially joined as a replacement for Sofía Franco Ayllón . In 2002, she served as a co-host for the América Televisión program Utilísimas alongside Rebeca Escribens .
