ABOUT GILBERT BURNS

Brazilian professional mixed martial artist (MMA). He competed in the Welterweight division for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He is also a submission grappler and a three-time World Champion and World Cup gold medalist.

He started learning Jiu Jitsu as a child. He competed in championships before switching to MMA.

He made his professional MMA debut in January 2012.

His younger brother is fellow UFC fighter Herbert Burns.

He defeated Tyron Woodley in May 2020 in the main event of UFC on ESPN: Woodley vs. Burns.
