ABOUT GIORGI MAMARDASHVILI

Georgian professional soccer player for the Spanish Valencia CF. He has previously played for Georgian clubs FC Dinamo Tbilisi and FC Rustavi. He joined the Georgian national team in 2021.

During his youth career, he played for Gagra and FC Dinamo Tbilisi.

In 2022, the Spanish sports newspaper Marca named him the Discovery of the Season. He has played on 4 teams throughout his senior career.

He was born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia. Mamardashvili is the son of former WIT Georgia and Torpedo Kutaisi goalkeeper Davit Mamardashvili, who after retirement became a goalkeeping coach at Merani Martvili and later Torpedo Kutaisi. Mamardashvili started a relationship with model Elene Epitashvili in 2021. The couple married on July 18, 2024. On November 22, 2024 their daughter Eni was born.

David Silva played for Valencia as a midfielder from 2004 to 2010.
