ABOUT GIOVANNI MIRABASSI
Self-taught jazz artist who trained himself on the music of Bud Powell , Art Tatum , and Oscar Peterson . He became popular in Japan.
His first gigs came when he played with Chet Baker in 1987 and Steve Grossman in 1988.
His first solo album, 2001's Avanti!, was oriented around the theme of revolutions.
He was born into a conservative Catholic family. He noticed the family piano around the age of two and never stopped playing.
He counted Enrico Pieranunzi to have had the greatest influence on his style and approach.
