He hosted a music program called "Breezin" in the 1980s.

He hosted a popular program called "Sale of the Century" during the 1990s and would go on to become the second-longest running host.

His parents were residing in Adelaide, South Australia, at the time of his birth; aside from hosting various programs, he was known to be a car-racing enthusiast in his spare time.

He participated in a satirical skit on ABC's "Late Show" that was based on the play, "Glengarry Glen Ross," by David Mamet .
