ABOUT GOD SHAMMGOD

Point guard who played for the Washington Wizards from 1997 to 1999. He was a second draft pick in the 1997 NBA draft after his sophomore year in college.

He was selected to the 1995 McDonald's High School All-American team.

From 1999 to 2009, he played for ten professional teams in seven different countries. Following his lengthy playing career, which included playing for more than a dozen different basketball organizations, he became a developmental coach for the Dallas Mavericks .

He fathered three kids, and his family stayed in New York while he traveled the world playing basketball.

He is credited with teaching Kobe Bryant the crossover dribble. He played high school basketball with Metta World Peace .
