Australian film director famous for his work on films and in shows such as Suits , Buffalo Soldiers , and Two Hands. He won the Australian Film Institute Award for Best Direction and Best Screenplay in the year 1999. In the world of music, he has directed two concert DVDs for the band Powderfinger.
He acted in theater productions before venturing into the world of film.
He acted in Home and Away , E Street, and The Blood of Heroes. He won Best Screenplay in the year 2004 at the Evening Standard British Film Awards for Buffalo Soldiers. Two Hands earned him 4 award nominations and one win.
He and his wife Simone Kessell have two sons named Jack and Beau.
He directed a film adapted from a Bret Easton Ellis book.
