He first discovered his passion for designing clothes during his twenties. He first opened his clothing company in 1987.

He has designed pieces for celebrities such as Charlize Theron , Jane Seymour , Patricia Kaas , Jasmin Wagner , and many others. His designer fame has garnered him more than 850,000 followers on his Instagram account.

He and his husband, Frank, were married in 2018. He is a native of Münster, Germany.

He attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 's royal wedding.
