ABOUT GUILHERME COELHO

Brazilian filmmaker known for his documentaries. He's produced and directed over ten films and as won several major awards for his work.

He graduated from Stanford University in 1979 with a degree in economics.

His documentary Fala Tu/Lives of Rhyme chronicled the lives of three rappers living in the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro. The film earned him Best Documentary and Best Director from the Rio Film Festival.

His father is notable Brazilian politician and entrepreneur Ronaldo Cezar Coelho and his uncle is well-known soccer referee Arnaldo Cezar Coelho.

Pop singer Mariana Coelho is his cousin.
