ABOUT GUSTAVO BADELL

Former bodybuilder who competed in the International Federation of Bodybuilders. He gained recognition for his muscular physique and had notable placings in various competitions. He appeared in several IFBB competitions including the Mr. Olympia and the Arnold Classic, gradually improving his rankings with time.

He started weight training at the age of fifteen to increase his size for boxing.

He was known by his nickname, "The Freakin' Rican" in the bodybuilding community. He gained popularity through his appearances in fitness and muscle magazines, as well as in advertisements for MuscleTech.

He was a Venezuelan-born Puerto Rican. He and his wife Mariangel had seven children together, among them Michael Badell . He passed away on July 13th, 2023 due to complications from a stroke.

He worked alongside many notable bodybuilders during his career including Ronnie Coleman .
