ABOUT HAMISH MILNE
Devotee of Russian composer and pianist Nikolai Medtner and an influential pianist in his own right.
He was a student at Bishop Wordsworth's School and later at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
He became the first pianist to produce a comprehensive survey of Medtner's repertoire.
He was born to Scottish parents.
He authored a 1982 biography titled Bartok: His Life and Times about the legendary composer Bela Bartok .
