ABOUT HAROLD PRINCE

Legendary Broadway theater producer and director who took home more than twenty Tony Awards, including eight in the Best Musical category.

He was an assistant stage manager to George Abbott and later co-produced the Tony Award winning musical The Pajama Game alongside Abbott.

He won the Tony for Best Musical as well as Best Producer of a Musical for productions of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and Fiddler on the Roof.

He was married and had two children with his wife Judith Chaplin.

He racked up 8 directing Tony Award wins as well, including one for Phantom of the Opera which starred Michael Crawford .
