ABOUT HARRY A. MILLIS
Influential civil servant, educator, and economist who served on the first National Labor Relations Board. His writings on labor relations were revolutionary and are still seen as landmarks on the subject.
He attended Indiana University and the University of Chicago before joining the Department of Economics at the University of Chicago in the fall of 1916 as an assistant professor of economics.
He taught at the University of Wisconsin Law School.
He had several children with his wife Alice, who he married in 1901.
He was elected to be a member of the National Labor Relations Board by Franklin D. Roosevelt .
