Hayden Hackney

ABOUT HAYDEN HACKNEY

English professional soccer player and athlete who is best known for playing as a midfielder for EFL Championship club Middlesbrough. He stands at 5 ft 10 in. Hackney joined Middlesbrough's academy at under-10 level.

He attended the Sacred Heart Catholic Secondary School. He signed his professional contract with Middlesbrough on June 26, 2019, which happened to be his 17th birthday.

He won the Middlesbrough "Young Player of the Year Award" and was also nominated for the "Championship Young Player of the Season Award" for the 2022-23 season. On June 28, 2023, Hackney signed a new contract for Middlesbrough, keeping him to the club until the summer of 2027.

He was born in Redcar, a seaside town along the Yorkshire Coast.

He lost the "Championship Young Player of the Season Award" against Alex Scott .
