ABOUT HERBERT CHITEPO
Zimbabwean politician who led the Zimbabwe African National Union from 1963 to 1975. He was also the first black citizen of Rhodesia to become a barrister.
He studied at Adam's College, Natal, South Africa, and then became a teacher.
He was assassinated in March of 1975 when a bomb went off in his car.
His family came from the Manyika clan, part of the Shona people.
He and Margaret Dongo were both politicians from Zimbabwe.
