ABOUT HERBERT FIELDS
American librettist and screenwriter who won the 1959 Tony Award for Best Musical for the production of Redhead.
He began his career as an actor and also tried choreography and stage direction before becoming a writer.
He wrote many Broadway musicals, including Annie Get Your Gun and several Rogers and Hart musicals.
He was the brother of Dorothy and Joseph Fields .
He collaborated with his sister Dorothy Fields on writing for Broadway musicals.
