Served as the fashion designer behind his eponymous label Hervé Leger. The label has become a staple of Paris fashion week and an iconic brand recognizable across the globe.

He studied fashion at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts in Paris.

Originally named just Hervé Leger, he added the Leroux after it was suggested by Karl Lagerfeld . Leroux means "the red" in French, which came about due to Hervé's red hair.

He was raised alongside two siblings.
