Professional chef best known in the national light as the wife of Modern Family star Ty Burrell .

She earned a theater degree from the University of Utah .

She took a nine-month pastry program at the French Culinary Institute.

She met Ty at the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington D.C. They married in August of 2000 and have daughters named Greta and Frances.

While she is Ty's real wife, Julie Bowen portrayed his TV wife on Modern Family.
