ABOUT HUGH MARTIN
Wrote The Trolley Song, The Boy Next Door, and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, which was sung by Judy Garland in Meet Me In St. Louis from 1944.
He studied music at Birmingham-Southern College and was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.
He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1983.
His father was an architect.
He collaborated on most of his songs with Ralph Blane .
