Prolific director, artist, and filmmaker who is behind some of the best-known hip hop and R&B music videos of the 1990s and 2000s. His early work includes music videos for Wu-Tang Clan , Usher , and Tupac Shakur . His work in the late '90s with Will Smith and TLC earned him awards from MTV and BET.
He was a graffiti artist before his career in directing and videography took off.
He promotes hip-hop and R&B artists through his hypewilliams Instagram account, which boasts more than 250,000 followers. He won an NAACP Image Award in the year 1997.
He is of African-American and Honduran descent.
He wrote the screenplay for Kanye West 's 2010 musical short film Runaway.
