ABOUT IAN JOHNSON

After finishing his college football career at Boise State University in Idaho, this running back played in the NFL for the Minnesota Vikings and the Miami Dolphins .

While playing football at Damien High School in California, he received the Los Angeles Times' All-San Gabriel Valley First Team designation and was also recognized as Southern California's Inland Valley Offensive Player of the Year.

He briefly played with the practice squads of the Arizona Cardinals , San Francisco 49ers , and Detroit Lions .

He was born in Monrovia, California, and raised in LaVerne, California.

He and University of Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon were both semifinalists for the Doak Walker Award.
