ABOUT IFEATU MELIFONWU

NFL safety that was originally taken as a third-round pick in the 2021 draft by the Detroit Lions . A few years prior, he played college football at Syracuse University . Following his junior season, he earned third team All-ACC honors and All-ACC Academic Team honors.

He was a four-sport athlete while at Grafton High School. In addition to football, he also played basketball, lacrosse, and ran track.

He made his official NFL debut while playing against the San Francisco 49ers during week one of the 2021 regular season. Unfortunately, he lost his NFL debut 41-33.

He was born and raised in the Boston, Massachusetts area. He is one of five siblings.

He is a former Syracuse collegiate athlete just like Carmelo Anthony and Donovan McNabb .
