She was a student at the Royal Academy of Music under famed teacher and musician Tobias Matthay.
She was acclaimed for her refined technique and control, as well as her selflessness in performing pieces allowing the compositions to speak for themselves.
She shared a great-great-grandfather with fellow pianist Harriet Cohen .
Her last concert appearance was a performance of Mozart's Sonata for Two Pianos with frequent collaborator Myra Hess .
