ABOUT ISAAC MATONGO
Zimbabwean politician and labor activist who was elected vice-president of the National Engineering Workers' Union in 1988.
He grew up in Masvingo.
He was also vice-president of the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions.
He was survived by his wife, when he died of heart failure.
He was the founding chairman of the Movement for Democratic Change, which opposes the party of Robert Mugabe .
