Nicknamed Chapito, he is the son of notorious Mexican drug lord and head of the Sinaloa cartel, Joaquin Guzmán, better known as El Chapo .
He spent three years in a Mexican prison after his arrest in 2005, however was ultimately released for a lack of substantial evidence.
He was charged with transporting numerous kilograms of cocaine and marijuana across the Mexican border to the United States.
He was born Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar to Joaquin Guzmán's first wife, María Alejandrina Salazar Hernández. He and his brother, Jesus Alfredo, are known as Los Chapitos.
His half sister, G0ldenle , is incredibly popular on Instagram.
