ABOUT JT THOMAS

Linebacker who was a sixth round pick of the Chicago Bears in 2011; claimed off waivers by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2013.

He played high school football at Pompano Beach, and college football at West Virginia University.

He gained national recognition for his kind-hearted acts off the football field, such as when he took a disabled middle school girl to her 8th grade dance.

His father, also named J.T. Thomas, played college football at West Virginia University as well.

As a member of the Bears, he was part of a linebacker crew that included the great Brian Urlacher .
