ABOUT JACINTA ANNE KENNEDY

Australian women's basketball player known for being a WNBL championship player and represented Australia at both junior and senior levels. She retired in 2006 but came back to the sport in 2013. She played for the Dandenong Rangers in the WNBL.

She loved sports and being active from a young age. She attended the Australian Institute of Sport in high school where she played basketball.

Kennedy picked up the nickname "Little Awesome" from Melbourne's basketball writers in 1998. In addition to basketball, she loves running, swimming, and yoga. She retired in 2006 after becoming pregnant with her first child but came back to play in 2013. She has a master's in teaching degree.

She was born Jacinta Anne Kennedy Hamilton. She is the younger sister of Lucille Hamilton. Kennedy is married to Socceroo player Joshua Kennedy . She and Josh began dating when they were both 17 years old. They have three children together, Jayda, Isabelle, and Lachlan.

She has played against Suzy Batkovic in several games.
