Irish-American gangster nicknamed Gentleman Jack. He was a bootlegger during the time of American prohibition.

He was a member of the New York street gang Hudson Dusters.

He was called "the clay pigeon of the underworld" after surviving multiple assassination attempts between 1916-1931.

He had a younger brother named Eddie.

He was portrayed by actor Steven Hill on the ABC drama The Untouchables.
