ABOUT JALEN HURD

Tail back for the University of Tennessee Volunteers who earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors during the 2014 season and was named a 2014 Campus Insiders Honorable Mention Freshman All-American. He finished 2014 with 1,120 all purpose yards.

He was a five-star recruit coming out of Beech Senior High School in Hendersonville, Tennessee, ranked as the #33 national prospect and #1 prospect in Tennessee.

He started in 9 of 13 games as a freshman for Tennessee.

He is the son of Tara Smotherman and Jay Hurd.

He played under Butch Jones to start his Tennessee career.
