ABOUT JALEN SUGGS

Point guard who helped lead Gonzaga University to the championship game of the 2021 NCAA Tournament as a freshman. He was a First-team All-WCC selection and a Consensus second-team All-American in 2021. After one year at Gonzaga, he was selected fifth overall in the 2021 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic .

In 2019, he averaged 23.3 points, 6.3 assists and 4.7 assists per game to help lead Minnehaha Academy to its third straight state basketball championship.

He was a dual-sport athlete in high school. In 2019, he was ranked the #12 basketball player and #10 football quarterback recruit in the country by 247Sports. He took home gold medals with USA Basketball at the 2017 FIBA Americas U16 Championship and 2018 FIBA U17 World Cup.

His father's name is Larry.

He was teammates with forward Corey Kispert for one year at Gonzaga.
