ABOUT JAMES BETHUNE
Canadian politician and lawyer. He represented Stormont in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as a Liberal member from 1872 to 1879. He retired from politics in 1879.
He studied at University of Queen's College, Kingston and University College, Toronto.
In 1870, he formed a law firm with Edward Blake and James Kirkpatrick Kerr.
He had Scottish ancestry. In 1860, he married Elizabeth Rattray. They had four children.
He and Robert Borden were both famous Canadian politicians.
