ABOUT JAMES CALLAGHAN
Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom that served in office from April 1976 to May 1979. After serving as Prime Minister, he worked as the Leader of the Opposition from May 1979 to November 1980.
Prior to working in office, he served in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.
During his young days in politics, he was given the nickname the "Keeper of the Cloth Cap" because of his ability to connect with England's Labour Party and the English trade unions.
He grew up living with his family in Portsmouth, England. He and his wife, Audrey Moulton, had three children.
He was a native of Portsmouth just like Mason Mount . During his tenure as Prime Minister, his administration worked closely with that of Jimmy Carter .
