ABOUT JAMES CHIKEREMA
Zimbabwean politician who served as the President of the Front for the Liberation of Zimbabwe. However, he changed his views on militant struggle in the late 1970s and began to support the internal settlement.
He received his education at St. Francis Xavier College in Kutama, and in South Africa.
He co-edited a weekly liberation struggle newspaper called The Rise of Zimbabwe.
His parents raised him in Zvimba, in the present-day Mashonaland West province.
Robert Mugabe was his nephew.
