In his youth, he attended Eton College, the same boarding school as Prince Harry and Prince William .

His company, Eden Rock Capital Management Group, was named after his parents' hotel in St. Barths.

He and Pippa tied the knot in 2017. They have two children named Arthur and Grace. In the summer of 2022, they welcomed their third child, Rose, into the world. His younger brother, Spencer Matthews , is a reality star known for appearing on Made in Chelsea .

After marrying Pippa Middleton, he became the uncle of Prince George and Princess Charlotte .
