Filmmaker and activist known for staging and recording shocking scenes of alleged illegal activity involving prominent figures. He became especially known for his 2009 videos of ACORN officials.

He graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in philosophy.

He established a non-profit organization called Project Veritas. He has accrued more than 2.5 million followers on his JamesOKeefeIII X account.

He was the oldest child born to James E. O'Keefe, Jr. and Deborah O'Keefe.

He was arrested in front of the office of Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu after he tried to document conversations among Landrieu's staff members.
