ABOUT JAMES REDFORD

Filmmaker who gained acclaim for his thoughtful documentaries, including Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution, The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia, Toxic Hot Seat, and Resilience.

He graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1985 with a degree in creative writing and filmmaking. He obtained a master's in English literature from Northwestern University .

He wrote and directed the 2003 film Spin, starring Stanley Tucci . His final film Playing for Keeps premiered at the 2020 Mill Valley Film Festival.

His father is Robert Redford . He passed away in October 2020 from cancer complications. He is survived by his wife, Kyle, and two children, Dylan and Lena.

He featured Richard Branson as an interviewee in The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia.
