ABOUT JANEK GWIZDALA
Jazz bassist who has performed as a sideman with such jazz greats as Ronny Jordan, Bob Reynolds and Marcus Miller . As a bandleader, he has won acclaim for releases like Mystery to Me (2004), It Only Happens Once (2012) and American Elm (2016).
His musical training began with classical guitar lessons at age 11. He also took drum lessons from Buzzcocks drummer Danny Farrant.
He offers play alongs, audio lessons and video lessons for bass on his website.
He married Bethany Geaber.
His album The Space In Between (2010) features contributions from drummer Jojo Mayer .
