ABOUT JAYALALITHAA

Indian political leader who was elected to her fourth term as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in 2011.

She learned English, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Teluga while studying at Bishop Cotton Girls' School.

She acted in several Tamil and Telugu films in the 1960s, prior to starting her political career.

She lost her father when she was two years old.

She was portrayed by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the 1997 Tamil drama Iruvar.
