Nicknamed Dadshot, he is the father of renowned Call of Duty gamer Matt Haag , otherwise known as Nadeshot.

In April 2012, he created his Twitter account and opened with the tweet "@hey dj @djhaagski."

Through his son, he has inherited a Twitter following of more than 50,000 fans.

He became a widower in 2012 when Matt's mother passed away.

His son is a popular Call of Duty gamer, much like Adam Montoya .
