ABOUT JEFFREY KAHANE
Became music director of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra in 1997. He performed with many of the major orchestras in the world.
He came in fourth at the 1981 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition when he was 24.
He and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra gave a two-night presentation of Beethoven's five piano concertos at the Hollywood Bowl in Summer 2003.
He married clinical psychologist and choral singer Martha with whom he had two children: composer, pianist, and singer Gabriel Kahane and daughter Annie.
He became a coveted recital accompanist and a favorite of Yo-Yo Ma, Dawn Upshaw, and Joshua Bell .
