American male figure skater who is a four-time U.S. national champion and placed ninth in the 2010 Winter Olympics.
He started skating at age 2 and as a juvenile, he competed in both ice dancing and pair skating before switching to singles in 2000.
He attended high school for five years instead of four to allow him to concentrate on both skating and academics.
He was born to Allison and Danny Abbott and has an older sister, Gwen, who has competed as a downhill skier in the X Games.
He is an American male figure skater like Evan Lysacek .
