He debuted with the Philadelphia Orchestra when he was 13.
He was chair of the piano department at The Juilliard School.
He performed piano duos with his now-deceased wife, Ronit Amir.
He collaborated with many conductors, including Eugene Ormandy and Leonard Bernstein .
