Bassist for Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, a southern rock band based in Alabama. He promotes the band and his current projects on his thejimbohart Instagram account, where he has 10,000 followers.

He got his start in the music industry in a funk and soul band with singer-songwriter Scott Boyer's son.

He became interested in playing bass guitar at a young age, when his family would have jam sessions, playing anything from Chuck Berry to John Prine . His thejimbohart Instagram features updates for fans about upcoming concerts as well as photos from his daily life. He announced that he and the band would be playing a May 2023 concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.

He was born and raised in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He grew up in a musical family.
